It will take an incredible comeback for the defending champions to book a place in the semi-finals and keep their treble hopes alive, but Brazilian star Vinicius says they have "no excuse" as he demanded they put up a struggle until "the very end" when the two sides meet again in the Spanish capital next week.

He wrote in an Instagram Story: "There is no excuse. Bad match. Time to improve and fight at the Bernabeu. Things have always happened in this field and we can do it again. To the very end, ALWAYS!!!!!!"
